Russell Ley, WFR NYS Licensed Guide #8951 Russell Ley is an experienced hiking guide, wilderness educator, and safety specialist offering guided adventures throughout the Adirondacks, Catskills, Shawangunks, Minnewaska, and Harriman State Park. Through the Russell School of Hiking, he provides guided hikes, camping and snowshoeing adventures, beginner programs, map and compass training, and hiking safety and logistics instruction. He also works with students, organizations, corporate groups, and hikers preparing for the Devil’s Path. Russell has experience guiding individuals and groups of more than 60 participants. He is a Wilderness First Responder with Wilderness First Aid and CPR training. My name is Cody Robinson-Bullock, and I am the founder of SCHOVENTURES LLC, an experiential outdoor adventure company dedicated to creating meaningful experiences that help people, organizations, and communities connect, grow, and thrive. With a background in outdoor leadership and global community development, I have spent more than a decade designing and facilitating experiential education programs, developing youth leadership initiatives, guiding paddling and day trips, and leading corporate retreats. My work is grounded in the belief that adventure is defined by those who choose to embrace it. Every experience is intentionally designed to leave participants feeling more connected, confident, and curious than when they arrived. My professional journey has taken me across New York and throughout the United States, with educational, professional, and facilitation experiences in Michigan, Tennessee, Illinois, Ohio, Kenya, Tanzania, and Nepal. These opportunities have strengthened my belief that the outdoors is more than a destination. It is a classroom where people build confidence, strengthen relationships, develop leadership skills, and cultivate a deeper appreciation for themselves, nature, and their communities.

“Wild places create strong women, and strong women protect wild places.” —Sheila Delarm Sheila is a New York State licensed guide based in the Adirondacks. A lifelong Adirondack resident, she is passionate about helping women connect with nature, build confidence outdoors, and discover the joy of adventure. Her work centers on paddling, hiking, mentorship, and creating meaningful experiences that foster confidence, connection, and a deeper relationship with the natural world. She is especially passionate about creating opportunities for women and girls to connect with nature, one another, and their own inner strength. Sheila is also the founder of Adirondack Women… Forever Wild, a growing community that celebrates the spirit, resilience, and stories of women connected to the Adirondacks. Through shared adventures, conversations, and community, she hopes to inspire women to live boldly, care deeply for wild places, and support the next generation of wild-hearted women. Whether leading a paddle, guiding a hike, or gathering women around a campfire, Sheila’s goal is simple: to help women reconnect with themselves, one another, and the wild places that have the power to change us.

I am beginning my guiding career as the founder of Adirondack Heritage Outfitters, a full-service adventure guide service offering safe, engaging hiking, kayaking, and snowshoeing experiences throughout the Lake George region. My trips combine outdoor adventure with an appreciation for the history and heritage of the Adirondacks. When I am not guiding or spending time outdoors, I am a 7th-grade social studies teacher.

Jason Hall is the owner of The Fly Fishing Workshop, a licensed New York State hunting and fishing guide, and a Marine Corps veteran with a lifelong passion for fishing. Jason grew up along the Hoosic and Walloomsac Rivers, spending nearly every free day chasing trout. After his family moved to the Adirondacks, he developed a deep appreciation for brook trout fishing in the region’s mountain ponds and streams. After high school, Jason served as an Infantry Marine and traveled the world with the United States Marine Corps. When he returned home, his then-girlfriend, now his wife, gave him his first fly rod. That gift sparked a lasting passion for fly fishing, and before long, he began tying his own flies and rarely traveled without a rod nearby. Over the years, Jason has fished for both freshwater and saltwater species throughout the Eastern Seaboard. His experience and enthusiasm eventually led him to open The Fly Fishing Workshop in Glens Falls, New York, with a mission to make fly fishing approachable, accessible, and affordable for anglers of all experience levels. With decades of experience on Adirondack waters, Jason brings extensive local knowledge, skill, and passion to every trip. Whether guiding a seasoned angler or someone picking up a fly rod for the first time, he tailors each experience to create a successful, educational, and memorable day on the water.

Naturalist Educator who is currently Director of Education and Development with a small, regional, non-profit in Western NY since 2013. Has 20+ trips led to Yellowstone National Park, plus multiple trips to Florida Everglades, and Adirondack region. Adjunct Professor at Canisius University in Buffalo, NY since 2017 in the Environmental Studies Program.

Serving Saratoga Lake, Adirondacks and the Finger Lakes Docked at Saratoga Lake, we have varied equipment for different tactics. We also easily trailer to other NY hotspots for trout walleye and salmon. “Let’s Do Some Catching” either with us on Saratoga Lake or on your water on our safe craft….

As well as being a licensed guide, I’ve been a certified personal trainer, and Pilates instructor, for 16 years. My passion for the mountains, and my love of fitness, creates a very exciting, and dynamic energy that when combined, provides a very different outdoor experience. Ben DeRosa, founder of UPDOG Fly Fishing, is a licensed fishing guide and fly tying instructor who has fished the central Catskills for more than 10 years. He is particularly experienced with the famous waters of the Esopus Creek, its tributaries, and related reservoirs. Whether you are interested in rainbows, browns, brookies, bass, or carp, these waters can deliver. Ben is a patient and knowledgable partner who can help you make the most of your time on the water. He hosts everything from "first-timer" introductory lessons to full-day trips and is also available to teach fly tying to individuals or groups.
