Ben DeRosa, founder of UPDOG Fly Fishing, is a licensed fishing guide and fly tying instructor who has fished the central Catskills for more than 10 years. He is particularly experienced with the famous waters of the Esopus Creek, its tributaries, and related reservoirs.

Whether you are interested in rainbows, browns, brookies, bass, or carp, these waters can deliver. Ben is a patient and knowledgable partner who can help you make the most of your time on the water. He hosts everything from “first-timer” introductory lessons to full-day trips and is also available to teach fly tying to individuals or groups.
