NYSOGA By-laws
The New York State Outdoor Guides Association uses as its regulatory document its own Bylaws. They were adopted in May 1983 in Lake Placid, N.Y. and amended on the following dates: March 19, 1988; March 22, 1997; March 9, 2002; March 27, 2004; March 24, 2012; March 19, 2016; and March 13, 2024.
Along with the Bylaws, The New York State Outdoor Guides Association maintains three other sets of documents, known as the Mission Statement, the Code of Ethics, and the NYSOGA Policies and Procedures Manual. Policies and Procedures are generally created to resolve issues not addressed in the Bylaws or are established guidelines for various Association functions. Policies or Procedures can be adopted by the Board of Directors at any time, consequently, the published document may not be up to date.
